SHANGLA: Deputy commissioner Kolai Pallas Kohistan Shah Jehan Khan has assured residents of Kolai, Madakhel abad and Batera that the district administration, DPO and other line departments officials will not go to Pallas unless the Headquarters issue was not resolved, Ongoing protest postponed till April, 2.
A negotiation talks held at DC KPK’s residence in Bisham, where DC, DPO Iftikhar Khan, The movement leaders, Qazi Saifullah, Haji Amir Zada, Sartaj, Junaid Ur Rehman, Haji Iqbal, Haji walyat, Abdul Ghafoor, Haji Malak Zada and others were present in the Jirga.
The DC asked the protesting (Movement leaders) for the demands and on first demand they urged to unless the headquarters issue not resolved district administration, DPO and other line department officials perform their duty at Bisham office.
After two hours talks, the DC assured the Jirga that they would stay in Bisham till the issue not settled and a nine members committee was also formed which will meet the government officials in this regard.
The committee included of Haji Amir Zada, Malak Zada Aurangzeeb, Junaid Ur Rehman, Haji Iqbal, Gulamullah Khan, Malak Dilbar Khan, Sherbaz Khan and Haji Walayat of Kolai.
The Movement leaders has postponed protest till April, 2, 2019 and in this duration meetings would be held at Abottabad and Bisham with the administration regarding the headquarter issue.
Ghulamullah, spokesman of the movement told Dawn that the DC has assured them that that he will arrange a meeting with commissioner Hazara at Abottabad on April, 2 where the headquarters issue would be possibly resolved for which five members of each Pallas and Kolai area would be taken for meeting.
During the talks, protest was continued on Karakoram Highway at Metha Chashma, border of Shangla and Kohistan districts, where speakers spoke and chanted slogans in support of their demands, by demanding headquarters at Batera.
