SHANGLA: Minister for information Shaukat Yousafzai has said new schools to be built in the district Shangla and educational institution issues to be resolved as the government is intended to increase the education budget up to 20 per cent in upcoming annual development program.
The minister was talking media persons here during surprise visits to government schools in Dandai area of Shangla on Friday. The minister accompanied by Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf local leaders visited the government high school Dandai and other schools and met the students and heard the schools issues from respective teachers.
The school teachers on the occasion demanded additional rooms for the primary and middle schools because the school has two rooms and the strength had been increased after recent enrollment, also a solar panel for the the schools as due to the scorching heat students gets unconscious.
The minister, however assured the schools staff that their issues to be resolved and a solar panel would also be installed very soon.
He said that the education is top priority of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and its budget to is supposed to be increased up to 20 per cent.
He claimed after they came into rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it has been acknowledged that education sector is improved and quality education provided to the pupil.
“As the any region progress is related to the education hence the government had been decided to recruit more teachers and teachers in the KP are being appointed through the national testing service NTS in all respective districts of the province,” the minister said.
He said a special attention to be given to the education sector in Shangla so that every child of the every corner could enjoy the fundamental right of education.
