The district administration Shangla distributed cash and life-saving jackets among the local people who had saved two children drowned in the Indus river at Dandai a week ago in which their father’s body is not yet recovered.
For the bravery and appreciation for saving the children’s lives, the district disaster management officer, Wajid Ali had called all the five men of Dandai, Bisham to his office on Thursday where AC provided them with safety vests, cash and appreciation certificates.
AC Wajid Ali on the occasion appreciated the young men for the bravery job they done and saved both brother’s lives in Indus river near Dandai in Bisham.
He said, these guys were their unsung heroes and they played an excellent job they must be appreciated at all level for their encouragement.
Later on, the young men were also provided with cash and appreciation letters by the district police officer, Asif Gohar at his office.
Nizamuddin, Khalidin, Bashirullah, Dawood Khan and Shahullah of Dandai had jumped into the Indus river after the children and their father drowned in the Indus river and rescued both the children, however, their father was drowned and his body is yet to be recovered.
