SHANGLA: The candidates who appeared in the different cadre posts of the education department recruitment test blocked and staged protest the Karakoram Highway after the last test against the leak multiple choice questions MCQs of the test.
The National Testing Service NTS conducted three tests on Sunday for primary school teacher general cadre posts in which during the inspection the local administration had found leaked MCQs with people outside the test center and both of them were arrested by the police.
The candidates when came to know about the paper leak they turned to the Karakoram Highway and blocked it for an hour while shouting slogans against the NTS for not holding fair and transparent tests.
The enraged protesters also shouted slogans against the local police for trying to disperse them from the KKH.
The protesters said on the occasion that they had been appearing in the tests conducted by the NTS but always leaked the paper and later canceled.
They said they wanted a transparent and fair test conduct so that they could get jobs on merit instead of cheating and leaking MCQs.
The local police severally attempted to open the international route but failed to disperse the angered protesters.
The local educationists and assistant commissioner, Bisham Khuram Rehman, SHO Fazal Elahi held negotiations with the protesting candidates and ensured them that the issue would be addressed and they dispersed them peacefully.
The AC Bisham Khuram Rehman Jadoon when contacted in this regard, he told this correspondent that there were some people leaked the last test MCQs and police had lodged cases against them.
He said the report about the test situation had been submitted to the deputy commissioner, Shangla, however, the decision about the test cancellation would be taken by the DC Shangla.
