The Shangla livestock department has distributed subsidy cheques among the farmers under the Prime Minister Special Initiatives for livestock.
THe subsidy cheques were distributed among the livestock farmers in different subdivisions of Shangla. Ceremonies in this regard were held in Besham, Chakesar and Puran the other day which were attended by the concerned Assistant Commissioners, political figures including Shamsul Rahman, representative of the Minister for Labour KP.
Dr. Shaukat Hayat, an officer of the Livestock Department, said that these were PSDP schemes aimed for promoting the halal meat production in the province and enhancing export potential of the country.
He added that under these schemes, during the year 2020-21, 263 cheques among the small and 26 cheques in the large livestock farmers had been distributed in Shangla, after the successful completion of the project cycles of 6 and 3 months, respectively.
