The accountability court has scheduled its verdict on the £190 million reference against PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi for January 13.
The court had initially postponed the verdict, as Judge Nasir Javed Rana was on leave. Court staff informed PTI lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry about the delay, and the verdict was rescheduled for January 13.
The case’s verdict was initially set for December 23 but was deferred to January 6, before being pushed back further.
The accountability court in Islamabad had reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both the prosecution team and defense lawyers. The proceedings have taken nearly a year to reach this point.
