SHANGLA: The local residents have warned the government if the non-local lower staff appointment was not canceled they would stage protest in every corner of the district against the alleged illegal appointment of class-IV, junior clerks, store keeper and other lower staff appointment.
Including local body members, rights activists told reporters on Tuesday here at Alpuri that by pressing government the only technical college in Shangla is going to be made functional but unfortunately, the government has appointed non-local staff on the lower positions at the college which is a clear injustice with locals.
Ali Bhash Khan, said, the government has appointed class-IV, junior clerks, store keeper from outside districts, Bajaur, Nowshehra and Swat, although Shangla is very backward and unemployment ratio is at top, due to which 70 per cent of its men works as coal cutter hard work in the different parts of the country.
“Whoever brought the men to Shangla for these jobs, send them back to their own districts, otherwise they will be sent forcefully. We can never let our rights to anyone else to enjoy,” Gul Khan Shangla, said.
He claimed such injustices happening only in Shangla, despite thousands of unemployed youth awaiting jobs and facing financial problems, government appoint staff outsiders.
“We have planned to hold protest demonstration at the district headquarters in Alpuri against the illegal appointment of lower staff at the technical college,” Sarfaraz Khan, district councilor said.
He said, there is lack of jobs opportunities for local youth in Shangla as neither factories nor other opportunities created by government yet.
