SHANGLA: Minister for labor and culture Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaukat Yousafzai has claimed that the Bisham-Khwazakhela expressway has been included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project’s schemes by the chief minister Mahmood Khan.
Minister Labor Shaukat Yousafzai was talking to media persons after a meeting with the Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf district Shangla cabinet at Alpuri on Thursday regarding the prime minister Imran Khan visit to Swat.
The PTI’s senior leadership, divisional president Sadeed Ur Rehman, District president Waqar Ahmed Khan and others were present.
Minister said that opposition parties were misguiding the Shangla people by claiming that PTI’s government had dropped the Bisham-Swat expressway from the CPEC scheme although it had been approved by the chief minister Mahmood Khan formally.
“I am hopeful that prime minister Imran Khan would announce mega projects for Shangla too at Swat rally for which workers from Shangla would go in large number,” He claimed.
He urged the leadership to make sure that PTI workers participate in the Swat event in a rally and make the Swat power show successful.
Mr Yousafzai said that prime minister Imran Khan would visit Swat today on Friday where he would address a public meeting at Grassy Ground.
Earlier this, the minister had given away a cheque of the Rs 03 million to the district bar association and announced 03 million more for repair work of the bar room.
WEEK DEADLINE: The tehsil administration Bisham has given a week deadline to the traders of the Bisham bazaar to remove their encroachment from the footpath and Karakoram Highway.
Tehsil Municipal Administration, Bisham had given the deadline to the traders through loudspeaker in the bazaar on Thursday.
It said that traders and pushcarts vendors had encroached the roadside and footpath which causing trouble to the pedestrians and shoppers also hampering the smooth traffic on the Karakorum Highway.
TMA Bisham officials said that after the expiry of the deadline they would take legal action against the encroachers according to the law.
