After international sensations like Zendaya, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid, Hollywood actress Blake Lively has joined the list of stars spotted wearing creations by Indian designer Rahul Mishra.

Lively, who is currently promoting her upcoming movie Another Simple Favour, was seen in a dazzling black pencil skirt from the designer’s Spring 2025 couture collection. The skirt, named “Cityscape,” features intricate hand embroidery and Rahul Mishra’s signature 3D embellishments.

Designer Rahul Mishra is a globally celebrated Indian fashion designer, who is known for blending Indian craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities. The designer became a favourite among modern brides who didn’t mind wearing ivory-hued lehengas for their big day.

Now, his couture creations primarily focus on the international market, featuring red carpet-ready silhouettes. From the Oscars and Met Gala to Grammys, his creations have been worn on the most significant red carpets.

Rahul Mishra hails from a village near Kanpur. He became the first Indian designer to showcase at Paris Haute Couture Week in 2020. He has been a regular since then.

He also made history by becoming the first Indian designer to win the prestigious International Woolmark Prize, previously won by icons like Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani. This win catapulted him onto the global fashion map.

His collections are lauded for their artistic vision, detailed storytelling, and the use of age-old Indian embroidery techniques.
