In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. The attack occurred around 2:30 a.m. when an intruder entered the home, demanding INR 1 crore. Saif confronted the intruder, who stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
The actor sustained six injuries, including two deep cuts near his spinal cord and a minor injury to his neck. The assailant also injured the children’s nanny during the altercation. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for emergency surgery, where doctors confirmed he is out of danger but remains under observation.
Mumbai police have released CCTV footage of the suspect fleeing and are actively investigating the case. Senior officer Gedem Dixit stated that multiple teams are questioning household staff and others present during the incident.
Meanwhile, family and friends, including Kareena Kapoor’s cousin Ranbir Kapoor and his wife Alia Bhatt, Saif’s children Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan, and sister-in-law Karisma Kapoor, visited the hospital to offer support.
In a heroic act, Saif’s son Ibrahim hailed an auto-rickshaw to transport his father to the hospital when no other vehicle was available. Fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with prayers for Saif’s recovery.
