Amid escalating tensions following the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) convened today to deliberate on the nation’s response to India’s subsequent actions and statements.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced the meeting, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive review of the security situation and formulation of a strategic response to what he termed as India’s “unfair” decisions. He criticized New Delhi for not providing concrete evidence to support its measures, which include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and closing the Attari border.

India’s Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had earlier met to assess the situation and directed all forces to maintain high vigilance. The Indian government also declared Pakistani military advisors in New Delhi as persona non grata and announced reductions in diplomatic staff.
