Pakistani singer-turned-actor Fawad Khan, who turns 43 this November, continues to captivate fans both at home and abroad with his enduring charm and seasoned on-screen presence.
Despite his age, Fawad remains a sought-after celebrity, valued more for his mature looks and depth of experience than many younger peers in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview with Khaleej Times, he candidly discussed the challenges of ageing while being a public figure.
“Being in the spotlight comes with its pressures, especially regarding appearances, which can be burdensome for men in this industry,” remarked the Humsafar star, reflecting on how ageing impacts actors’ lives. However, he finds solace in roles like his upcoming web series Barzakh, where performance outweighs conventional romantic ideals.
“Beyond the film industry, everyone grapples with the fear of ageing. It’s a universal concern. Personally, I feel like I’m experiencing a mid-life awakening,” he shared, noting his awareness of life’s impermanence since youth.
Fawad also reflected on the passing of childhood idols like Moin Akhtar, Junaid Jamshed, and Michael Jackson, emphasizing how their absence leaves a void and memories fade over time.
As he contemplates entering the “autumn of life,” Fawad’s concerns extend to loved ones and their futures after he’s gone. Despite these existential thoughts, he finds spiritual comfort in the belief that God sustains all things.
Known for iconic roles in dramas like Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, as well as Bollywood hits such as Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons, Fawad Khan anticipates his digital debut in Zee 5 Global’s Barzakh alongside former co-star Sanam Saeed.
