police removed pressure horns from dozens of heavy vehicles across the district which were causing of disturbance of public, especially pedestrians.
A statement issued by the district police officer, Malak Ihjaz, said that on his directives the traffic police inchrage Bakht Zeb and other wardens carried out crackdown against the use of pressure horns in heavy vehicles.
It said the traffic police removed pressure horns from over six dozens of heavy vehicles across the district in which 80 per cent of pressure horns had been used by sand supplier dumpers.
Police also asked the heavy vehicles drivers to avoid use of pressure horns and adopt traffic rules otherwise strict legal action would be taken against them.
The DPO Shangla also announced a good news for the special police force personals who recently regularised that they would get their pending salaries of two months before Eidul-fiter.
He said, the special police force who recently regularised after over 10 years performing security duty as special police force on contract, while their salaries had been pending for the last two months.
He said that he has directed to the accounts department to pay the pending salaries of former special police force before the Eidul-fiter as majority of them were poor and facing financial problems, so they all would be paid their pending salaries very soon.
