SHANGLA: The Shangla district elementary and secondary education department has recruited more teachers on the vacant posts at different primary schools of the district on deceased and medical grounds retired teachers sons quota.
A notification issued by the district education department on Wednesday said that under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Servant sub-rules-4 of rules 10, 11 primary school teachers had been appointed at the various schools against vacant posts in different tehsils.
It said these teachers recruited on the medical grounds quota in BPS 12 and their service will be considered as regular in terms of section 19 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa civil servant act 1973 amended in 2013.
The newly recruited PSTs mentioned in the notifications are Baqir Ali at GPS Cham Lilonai, Iqbal Shah at GPS Achar, Anayatullah at GPS Jamra, Muhibullah in GPS Khoo, Said Muzamil Shah at GPS Larai Shalizara, Ramiz Raja in GPS Danday, Abid Hussain at GPS Karai, Muhammad Abid in GPS Mandorai, Mushtaq Ahmed at GPS Shangla, Sajad Ali in GPS Shahpur and Muhammad Nadeem Khan at GPS Chagum number 2.
Muhammad Asim Khan, assistant district education officer establishment, told that 11 applicants had received from across the district for appointment on medical grounds quota (Upon the retirement of their fathers on medical grounds) during service.
He said some applications were had been lying for years due to the government decision and then withdrawn as the KP government had devised a policy by declaring NTS test for these appointments mandatory but last year the policy was abolished.
He said they recruited only primary level teachers in BPS 12 against the vacant posts as per rules as the applicants were fulfilling the required academic criteria.
