Prime Minister holds key meeting with Naval Chief

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf on Thursday to discuss Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness and upcoming maritime initiatives.
During the meeting, Admiral Naveed Ashraf provided a comprehensive briefing on the ninth Aman exercise, a multinational maritime event aimed at strengthening regional security and cooperation.
He also discussed the first Aman Dialogue, a forum focused on enhancing maritime collaboration and addressing key naval challenges.
The prime minister and the naval chief also reviewed the Pakistan Navy’s professional preparedness, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high operational standards to safeguard national maritime interests.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the navy’s efforts in ensuring maritime security and reiterated the government’s commitment to equipping the force with modern capabilities. The meeting highlighted Pakistan’s role in fostering international maritime partnerships while reinforcing its own naval defense strategies.
