On March 10, 2025, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) accused Karachi police of raiding and vandalizing its city headquarters, Insaf House. PTI leaders claimed that a heavy police force stormed the building without prior notification, broke locks, entered rooms, and sealed several areas. They also alleged that police misbehaved with workers who attempted to resist and confiscated equipment from the party’s media cell.

In response, Karachi police denied conducting a raid, stating that a police mobile accompanied a bailiff executing legal proceedings at Insaf House concerning a tenancy dispute, as ordered by the senior civil judge-South. The police emphasized that their presence was solely to provide security for the bailiff.

PTI spokesperson Fauzia Siddiqi refuted the police’s explanation, asserting that there was no tenancy dispute. She stated that PTI had been in negotiations to purchase the property and that these discussions had been delayed due to political crises and state restrictions. Siddiqi labeled the police’s claim as “ridiculous,” maintaining that the party was not involved in any tenancy issues with the property’s owner.

This incident has heightened tensions between PTI and Karachi authorities, with both sides presenting conflicting accounts of the events at Insaf House.
