Rain, snowfall brings joy to Rawalakot residents

Rain and snowfall swept through Rawalakot, breaking a prolonged dry spell and bringing joy to the residents.
While the lower regions of Rawalakot enjoyed refreshing rain, the upper areas were covered in a pristine layer of snow, creating a stunningly picturesque scene.
In Muzaffarabad, light rain and snowfall graced the upper regions of Azad Kashmir, including Neelum Valley, Jhelum Valley, and Leepa Valley, where brief snow showers adorned the mountain peaks. Residents of Muzaffarabad city celebrated the light rain, which cleared the dusty air and made the weather cool and refreshing.
The weather department forecasted continued rain and snowfall, further enhancing the natural beauty of the region.
Meanwhile, Quetta experienced light snowfall paired with rain, transforming the area into a winter wonderland.
Temperatures in Quetta dropped to two degrees below freezing, intensifying the chill. Locals flocked to food streets and cafes to enjoy warm meals, such as steaming chicken corn soup and spicy fried fish, adding a cosy charm to the cold weather.
A resident of Quetta shared their excitement, saying, “The warm meals have made the cold weather even more enjoyable.”
The meteorological department predicted additional rain and snowfall in Quetta and northern Balochistan within the next 24 hours.
