Rain, strong winds likely in Pakistan’s upper parts

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and snowfall for the upper regions of Pakistan as the winter season continues.
According to the PMD’s daily forecast, strong winds and dust storms are expected in northern and northwestern areas of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, and the Pothohar region, with rainfall and snowfall in the mountainous areas on Monday.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country is likely to experience cold and dry weather. The PMD also warned that moderate to dense fog will persist in the morning and evening in most parts of Punjab and upper Sindh.
Authorities have advised residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions due to the adverse weather conditions.
