The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have firmly denied recent match-fixing allegations following their narrow two-run defeat to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025 season. The accusations were made by Jaideep Bihani, convener of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) ad hoc committee, who questioned the integrity of RR’s performance and suggested possible collusion between the franchise, the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to marginalize the RCA’s involvement in IPL activities in Jaipur .
In response, the Rajasthan Royals issued a statement categorically rejecting all allegations, labeling them as “false, baseless, and without any evidence.” The franchise emphasized that such public statements are misleading and have caused serious damage to the reputations of RR, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI, while also tarnishing the integrity of cricket .
The BCCI also addressed the situation, with an official stating that the RCA is currently dissolved and an ad-hoc committee has been formed. The official dismissed the allegations, noting that the BCCI has an anti-corruption unit operating 24/7 to prevent such issues and that there is no truth to the claims
