SHANGLA: A seminary teacher has beaten up his student injuring him severely for not bringing Sarsai at Basi area of Alpuri tehsil on Wednesday, victim’s uncle complained.
Police said, the seven year old victim student’s uncle Fazal Khudad told police that his nephew Hikmatullah was a student at a seminary on Tuesday upon return from Madrasa he asked him for Sarsaye and he told him the Sarsai had already given to another needy person.
He stated on next day (Wednesday) when he reached the Seminary the Qari (teacher) inquired about the Sarsai and when he (Hikmatullah) replied that his uncle paid to anyone else, Qari angered and took out stick and started beating him up.
Fazal Khudad claimed in a video he posted on Facebook showing the victim injuries that Qari beat him up just for not paying Sarsai although they pay him monthly fee for teaching the holy Quran to their children.
Fazal Khudad said he was a poor person in the area and people were supporting the Qari and threatened him to not register FIR.
Station House Officer, Muhammad Arif Khan, said he had been dispatched a police team to arrest the Qari Aziz and also talked the victim uncle to come to police station for registering the FIR.
He said after registering FIR they would begin further interrogation into the case.
