Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife Ansha Afridi are expecting their first child.
It is reported that Afridi may need to miss the upcoming Bangladesh Test matches to be with his wife during the childbirth.
The team’s red-ball coach Jason Gillispie stated that they can give Shaheen rest if he wants to stay with his wife until the birth of their child.
Afridi and Ansha’s nikah was performed in February 2023 in Karachi. Their wedding and valima ceremonies were then held in September 2023 in Karachi and Islamabad respectively.
The ceremonies were attended by various current and former Pakistani cricketers.
