In recent days, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province has experienced multiple terrorist incidents resulting in the elimination of six militants.
Attack on Bannu Cantonment
On March 4, 2025, security forces successfully thwarted an assault on the Bannu Cantonment by militants from the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The operation resulted in the deaths of six terrorists. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the timely action of the security forces in repelling the attack.

Attempted Breach in Bannu District
On March 5, 2025, a group of terrorists, including suicide bombers, attempted to infiltrate a cantonment area in Bannu district. The swift response by security forces prevented the breach, leading to the deaths of six terrorists. Unfortunately, the attack also claimed the lives of 12 civilians and injured 32 others.
Destruction of Militant Hideouts in Kurrum Par
In a separate operation, police reported the destruction of terrorist hideouts in the mountainous Kurrum Par area following a two-day operation. This action was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle militant infrastructure in the region.
