Swat:
At least two children died while one was injured after a landslide struck the Watkay Gul Abad area, outskirts of Mingora city in Swat on Monday.
The Swat Rescue 1122, Spokesperson, Shafiqa Gul told The Northern Post, the rescue 1122 team has made efforts and pulled out all the four children, buried underneath of landslide rubles and have been moved
to the Saidu Teaching Hospital, Swat.
She said the children were alive while shifting to the hospital and two of them succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
The deceased and injured children were between 3-7 years and relatives of each other.
The Rescue 1122 official said on receiving the information, Rescue 1122 medical and disaster rescue teams reached the spot and started the search operation.
Doctors have confirmed the death of two children while two children are injured and being treated in the health facility.
According to local residents, there were only four children under the debris, who have been recovered by the rescue men and shifted to hospital.
The Provincial disaster management authority PDMA also confirmed the incident and deaths of two later the day.
Similar incident had occurred in Shangla’s Martung area four days ago in which 8 children were killed and one injured
