UAE declares public holiday for January 1 for all employees

The UAE has declared January 1, 2025, as a public holiday for all employees, including those in the private sector, as confirmed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE).

This announcement aligns with the UAE Cabinet’s decision on official holidays for government and private sector workers.

The holiday, falling on a Wednesday, will mark the first public holiday of 2025 for government employees, as noted by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
