Pakistan Urges Afghanistan to Focus on Domestic Issues Instead of Interfering

Pakistan has firmly responded to recent remarks made by the Afghan Foreign Ministry, urging the Afghan Interim Government (AIG) to prioritize addressing its own internal challenges rather than commenting on Pakistan’s domestic affairs. Pakistan’s Foreign Office, through spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, criticized the statement from Afghanistan as “frivolous” and “unacceptable.” Islamabad emphasized that the AIG should work on ensuring inclusivity, especially by restoring the rights of women and girls to education, and addressing governance challenges within Afghanistan.

Furthermore, Pakistan reiterated its concerns regarding the presence of terrorist groups within Afghan borders. These groups, Pakistan stated, pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability. Islamabad reminded Kabul of its international obligations to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a safe haven for global terrorism.

Pakistan, while committed to peace and regional cooperation, expects Afghanistan to adhere to the principles of responsible interstate relations and avoid unnecessary interference in the sovereign affairs of other nations(
