PM Urges Climate Justice as Pathway to True Resilience at COP29 Summit

At the COP29 Climate Action Summit, the Prime Minister delivered a compelling address, underscoring that true global resilience is unachievable without genuine climate justice. Speaking to leaders, activists, and policymakers, the PM emphasized the critical need to support vulnerable nations disproportionately affected by climate impacts. The Prime Minister outlined how wealthier, high-emission countries have an essential role in providing the resources, technology, and policies necessary for a just transition.

“Climate resilience cannot be merely a privilege of a few; it must be a right for all,” the Prime Minister stated. He highlighted that without concrete measures to address climate inequality, resilience efforts will continue to fall short. Vulnerable communities—especially in low-income nations—bear the brunt of rising temperatures, extreme weather, and environmental degradation, yet often lack the financial means and technological access to adequately protect themselves.

The PM called for robust commitments in financing and green technologies to support affected regions in building sustainable, adaptable infrastructure. He reiterated that shared responsibility is essential to realizing global climate goals. “Only by standing together and committing to fair and inclusive solutions can we hope to build a resilient, climate-stable world for future generations.”

The PM’s remarks served as a strong call to action, urging all nations to recognize the inseparable link between climate justice and global resilience. His speech resonated as a reminder that without justice for vulnerable populations, global resilience remains out of reach. As the summit progresses, world leaders face mounting pressure to take decisive action on this front, fulfilling the promise of climate justice for all.
