KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet has approved agriculture income tax bill 2025 with reservations and this will be implemented from January 2025.
A spokesman for Chief Minister Sindh said that the provincial government did not include livestock in agriculture income tax.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the Agriculture Income Tax Board of Revenue will despite in the Sindh Revenue Board instead of the Income Tax Board of Revenue, while in the case of natural disasters there will be adjustments to the agriculture income tax.
Spokesman Chief Minister Sindh said that a fine will be imposed in case of hiding land. Twenty percent agricultural tax will be imposed on small companies and 28 percent on large companies.
At a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sindh cabinet members said that before talking to the IMF, Sindh should have taken confidence. Chief Minister said that Sindh cabinet is approved by agricultural tax in the interest of the country and he will talk to the federal government again.
