Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by terrorist organizations to launch attacks within Pakistan, describing it as a “painful reality.” Speaking to reporters in London, he emphasized that Pakistan has consistently urged the Afghan interim government to prevent its territory from being used against Pakistan, in line with the Doha Agreement. However, groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) continue to operate from Afghan soil, resulting in the loss of innocent lives in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister called on Afghan authorities to take decisive action against these terrorist groups and ensure that Afghan territory is not used for cross-border terrorism. He reiterated that the sacrifices made by Pakistani citizens, armed forces, and law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism will not be in vain.
