Tehran, July 28: Iran’s Foreign Minister held separate discussions with his Saudi Arabian and Omani counterparts on the security of the Strait of Hormuz, underscoring the importance of maintaining stability in one of the world’s most strategically significant maritime corridors.
According to Iranian officials, the talks focused on recent regional developments, maritime security, and efforts to prevent further escalation following heightened tensions in the Gulf. The Strait of Hormuz serves as a vital gateway for global energy supplies, with a substantial share of the world’s seaborne crude oil and liquefied natural gas passing through the narrow waterway each day.
