Fact-check; The claims seem to be baseless as confirmed by the hospital authorities and district administration and Shangla termed the viral posts on social media fake, as TNP team fact-checked.
Fact or Fiction: On November, 17 a social media user Zafar Ali (Viral Post) shared a post claiming four LHVs in the tehsil headquarters hospital, Puran diagnosed with HIV aids and the post was widely shared on the facebook by users.
The TNP fact-check team reached out to the tehsil headquarters hospital, Puran medical superintendent Doctor Fazal Ghafoor who said the viral was fake and shared with the intentions of creating panic among the masses.
He said one of the hospital LHV was diagnosed with HIV in Lahore and since then under treatment and her close relative’s blood samples were also taken for test and that turned to be negative.
MS of the health facility said there was no originality in the viral post in which the social media users claimed that four LHS were diagnosed with the deadly illness.

Hospital Statement about the viral post
Conclusion: It is true that HIV aids case was detected in one of the hospital nurses and underwent treatment but the claim of four LHVs was unoriginal and fake.
