SHANGLA: Events held in various parts of Shangla district on Thursday by remembering the martyred of Babarra Massacre arranged by Awami National Party Shangla chapter.
The events were arranged on the call of provincial leadership at the district headquarters Alpuri, Bisham, Puran, Chakesar, Kana, and Martung tehsils where tribute paid to the martyred.
Local leaders Azam Khan, Muhammad Yar Khan, Ali Bahadar Khan, Zakir Khan, Umar Faraz Khan, Zahid Khan, Bakht Zeb Umar Khel and others addressed at the events. They shed lights on the importance of the Babra massacre day.
They urged the youth to play their role in educating Pakhtuns about their rights and spread the message of Bacha Khan to every household.
The mass shooting of workers of Khudai Khidmatgar Tehreek had happened in 1948 and ANP claimed that more than 700 people were killed and hundreds of others were injured on the occasion.
Awami National Party ANP had arranged gatherings in every tehsil of the district Shangla to mark the Babrra massacre day and paid homage to the martyred souls.
