KOHISTAN: District Education Officer Kolai Pallas Kohistan shot dead by unknown assailants at his office here on Saturday, local people of Shangla blocked Karakoram Highway along the dead body and staged protest.
District Police Officer, Kolai Pallas Kohistan, Mukhtiar Ahmed, said initially the police were informed by the office staff that their DEO is lying in a pool of blood in his office.
Police taken the body to Rural Health Center Pattan, where doctors informed the police that two bullets received the education officer body in chest and Face.
He said, they he has begin further interrogation into the case and the accused will be arrested soon.
Nawab Ali was a senior educationist and belonged to Chakesar area of Shangla.
Following his murder, residents of Bisham, Chakesar and other areas of the district Shangla have blocked the KKH at Bisham chowk protesting against the alleged murder of DEO Nawab Ali.
They chanted slogans against the MPA Kolai Pallas Kohistan Mufti Ubaid Ur Rehman, DPO Kollai Pallas Kohistan.
The DPO said FIR will be registered once the Autopsy report was received, however doctors in Bisham hospital also confirmed that the DEO was killed.
