The Enrolment Drive Campaign 2024 was held at GPS Alpurai No 1 District Shangla. The campaign drive was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Adnan Khatak, DEO Muzafar Ali Khan, SDEO AurangZeb Khalil, ASDEOs Govt, and non-governmental organization representatives along with Media persons. In the campaign, many children were enrolled, officially by the ADC, with the provision of books and school bags. During his speech, the ADC told the media that education is the only tool of development that plays an important role in personal life and the nation’s development. He said that Shangla is extremely backward on the education development index HDI and requires extensive planning to address the issue. He said that involving all the segments of society and focusing on out-of-school children, especially girls, are great tasks. He said that enrolment of 21000 children is a big target to be achieved in 2024, and this can only be done with research, planning, and spirit. He said that for the first time, the education authorities in Shangla have planned visits at the union council level, and even a doorstep campaign would be preferred to bring the maximum number of children to the schoolyard. He said it is a time for everyone to put change on the roadmap of development and progress and be determined to prepare the future generation with the utmost knowledge, skills, and power.
