SHANGLA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued directive for initiating mega project package for Shangla here on Friday, the Shangla people welcome the government move.
According to the chief minister directive that as he had promised projects last month for Shangla during inaugural ceremony of new building of University of Swat Shangla campus in Alpuri, that the projects would be initiated as the district need development in different sectors which had been kept deprived from the progress.
The 22 number of projects are contained on construction widening and blacktopping of Karora-Ajmer road, construction, widening and blacktopping Karora-Chakesar road, Construction of road from Shangla to Malam Jabba.
The directive said that Zone-six to be set up to enable the locals to qualify for employment through its own entity (Shangla, Kohistan Upper, Lower, Kolai Pallas Kohistan, Torghar and district Battagram).
Upgradation of the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bisham from category D to C, Rs20,0000 aid for Shangla Press Club, similarly 20,0000 grant for district bar Shangla.
It said, the coalmine workers will be facilities, while Rs500,000 for deceased labours along with free health and education facilities for their children.
Upgradation of Olandar BHU to Rural Health Center, Establishment of Degree College at Kana tehsils, construction of Ganshal bridge, Tube wheel for Chakesar and different comprehensive package having water supply schemes, irrigation schemes for different union councils of PK-23 Shangla also included in the package.
The directive said that a press club will be built in Bisham for the local journalists, while technical college to be merged with university of Swat Shangla campus.
Early completion of play grounds at Bisham and Lelonai was also ordered on section 4 has already been imposed.
The directive said, a livestock division would be established in the district Shangla and upgradation of dispensary at Malak Khel to Basic Health Unite among the schemes.
The chief minister also ordered establishment of six government primary schools, 03 for girls and 03 for boys in the different union councils of the PK-23 Shangla I on need basis.
According to the directives that tourists spots proposed by the district administration to be visited the tourism department team to finalize the sites for officially declaring and then provide required facilities there.
Meanwhile, the local people welcome the move and thanked the chief minister and minister for information as well as they demanded to implement the said projects in the district.
