SHANGLA: Chairman standing committee on communication Ibadullah Khan has directed contractor to expedite construction work on both Ranyal and Kormang bridges as the bridges had bee delayed for years.
The MNA accompanied by PML-N local leaders paid a surprise visit to the construction sites of bridges here on Tuesday.
Mr Ibadullah, who is also MNA elect from NA-10 Shangla, inspected the work particularly quality of material being used in the construction of both major bridges over the Khan Khwar at Kerai and Ranyal.
“These are crucial bridges as they connect three union councils of the district with the rest of district and the commuters used ramshackle dangoures bridges to cross the river, several traffic accidents had been occurred on these bridges and people lost precious lives,” He told media persons on the occasion.
The MNA added that hundreds of citizens cross the river on the bridges would get rid of ramshackle bridges when the construction work on both the bridge completed.
He added that it was a long standing issue of the locals, therefore contractor should complete the projects within the current scheduled period.
on the occasion, Mr Ibadullah met local people and heard their issues and assured them that their problems would be resolved very soon.
