Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed three additional judges to the Balochistan High Court.
The President has also approved the appointment of two additional judges to the Islamabad High Court, signing the notifications for both high courts.
Advocate General Muhammad Asif and Advocate Muhammad Ayub Khan have been appointed as additional judges, while Additional Attorney General Najmuddin has been appointed as a judge in the Balochistan High Court.
All three judges have been appointed for a one-year term. Additionally, Sessions Judge Azam Khan and Advocate Raja Inam have been appointed to the Islamabad High Court.
Earlier, in the meeting of the Judicial Commission, the names of Muhammad Asif Reki, Najmuddin Mengal, and Muhammad Ayub were agreed upon for appointment as additional judges in the Balochistan High Court.
The statement noted that in its second session, the Judicial Commission unanimously nominated Supreme Court Advocates Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Ayub Khan as additional judges for the Balochistan High Court. Advocate Muhammad Najmuddin Mengal’s name was approved by a majority vote.
