LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways administration has announced temporary stops for three major trains in an effort to enhance passenger accessibility, according to a notification issued on Friday.
In a move to better accommodate travelers, the Karachi-Sialkot-Karachi (9Up/10Dn) Allama Iqbal Express will now stop for two minutes at Dera Nawab Sahib railway station.
Similarly, the Karachi-Peshawar Cantt-Karachi (47Up/48Dn) Rehman Baba Express will make a two-minute stop at Taxila Cantt railway station. These adjustments will be implemented as a trial for a period of three months.
Additionally, the Lahore-Karachi-Lahore (15Up/16Dn) Karachi Express will also halt for two minutes at Gambat railway station. This change will remain in effect for one month on a temporary basis.
The Pakistan Railways officials explained that these measures are being introduced to improve accessibility for passengers and to respond to public demand. Future decisions regarding these temporary stops will depend on their usage and feedback from the public.
