SHANGLA: Deputy Commissioner Shangla Imran Hussain Ranjha has canceled annual development schemes of fiscal year 2018-19 of the district and tehsil councils here on Tuesday.

It said, the DC directed to the authorities of local government to immediately canceled all the in-progress tenders of the ADPs 2018-19 till the report submitted by the committee under intimation to the office.
Najeeb Khan, an official in the local government office confirmed the cancellation of tenders on the DC Shangla directives.
Meanwhile, former district nazim of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, Niaz Ahmed Khan alleged that the tenders were canceled on the directive of the chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as his local party leaders misguided him because they wanted to use the district and tehsil council funds on their own.

He said, he had given schemes equally to all union councils respectively but the ruling party local leadership was not happy with the district development.
Former Nazim, termed the cancellation of tenders totally injustice with the district inhabitants because it seems that they would exclude the essential schemes of the people where schemes direly needed.
He said, that he is going to challenge the cancellation of tenders in the high court because the DC Shangla violated the rules and law of the local government system.
Haji Abdul Munim, PTI’s former MPA, said that about 8 members of the district council complained to CM and DC Shangla regarding irregularities in the council funds and unjust distribution on which the DC canceled the ADPs.
Mr Munim, said the the after inquiry report the DC Shangla will again tenderise all the canceled ADPs of the district and tehsils.
He said, Akbar Hussain from Martung Khas, Sardar Ali from Opal, Ziaul-Haq from Shahpur, Khan Nawab from PirKhana and four other members of the district council had registered their complaints with DC Shangla and chief minister about the fund unjust distribution.
