Gold rate in Pakistan on Jan 17 up by Rs400 to Rs282,600/tola

ISLAMABAD: The price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs400, reaching Rs282,600 on Wednesday, compared to Rs282,200 recorded on the previous trading day, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs342, selling at Rs242,283, up from Rs241,941. The rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also climbed, reaching Rs222,100 from its previous value of Rs221,787.
Conversely, the price of silver fell, with per tola silver decreasing by Rs27 to Rs3,406 and 10 grams dropping by Rs23 to Rs2,920.
In the international market, gold prices experienced a minor rise of $2, trading at $2,705 compared to $2,707 previously, the association reported.
