Sadequain Art Exhibition opens in Mississauga, celebrates Pakistan’s cultural heritage

Mississauga — A vibrant celebration of Pakistan’s artistic heritage unfolded in Mississauga as the Sadequain Art Exhibition officially opened, drawing art lovers and members of the Pakistani diaspora.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, and pays tribute to the legendary artist Sadequain, widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s greatest painters and calligraphers.

Organised in collaboration with the Sadequain Foundation, the three-day event showcases a diverse collection of artworks, including Islamic calligraphy, paintings, drawings, murals, and Urdu poetry. Visitors are given a rare opportunity to experience the depth and symbolism of Sadequain’s work, which continues to inspire generations.

The exhibition has attracted a wide audience, including artists, students, cultural enthusiasts, and community leaders. Experts note that such events play a key role in promoting Pakistan’s cultural identity on the global stage and strengthening artistic exchange between countries.
