Ben Affleck was seen in a heated exchange with police outside his Brentwood home, hours after a visit from the FBI. The 52-year-old actor, leaning out of his BMW, appeared frustrated as he gestured during the conversation, which reportedly centered on private security blocking residents, including Affleck, from accessing their homes.
“Ben was talking to police who are in his neighborhood right now because he lives right outside of a mandatory evacuation zone,” a source told US Weekly. Another insider revealed, “There is a neighbor, who has private security, who has been interfering with residents getting to their own homes, Ben being one of them.”
Despite the tense exchange, the situation reportedly ended amicably, with Affleck and the officers sharing a laugh. The FBI has clarified that their presence was unrelated to any legal issues involving the actor. Their visit concerned an ongoing investigation into unauthorized drone activity.
Photos from TMZ captured Affleck speaking with officials from the Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI on January 12, amidst wildfire evacuations in Los Angeles. A source told Page Six that the FBI inquired about CCTV footage from Affleck’s home that might help identify a drone allegedly damaging a firefighting aircraft.
Affleck is said to have cooperated fully with authorities as investigations continue.
