The main arteries of Shangla district which were blocked for several days after the region received a heaviest snowfall, cleared for light traffic here on Saturday evening.
Deputy Commissioner Shangla Imran Hussain Ranjha told Dawn via phone on Sunday that all major arteries including Bisham-Swat, Alpuri-Puran and Karora-Chakesar had been cleared of snow, however snow chain around the tyre is essential as roads are frozen due to freezing temperature.
