Pakistan Forces Step Up Security Operations and Regional Role

Islamabad — Pakistan’s armed forces have remained actively engaged on multiple fronts, focusing on counterterrorism operations, regional stability, and modernization of defense capabilities.

Recent military discussions emphasized continuing operations to eliminate terrorist networks and dismantle their support systems across the country. Officials stated that security forces will maintain a high operational tempo to ensure militants are denied any safe haven.

On the diplomatic and regional front, Pakistan has urged restraint amid rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly between the United States and Iran. The country has also played a mediating role, calling for ceasefire agreements to be respected to maintain regional peace.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s military modernization efforts continue to advance. The country recently commissioned a new Hangor-class submarine, significantly strengthening naval capabilities and maritime defense. Additionally, reports indicate the acquisition of advanced air defense systems aimed at countering modern threats such as drones and low-altitude missiles.
