Pistons rout Magic to cap comeback

Detroit — The Detroit Pistons delivered a dominant performance to rout the Orlando Magic 116–94, completing a stunning comeback from a 3–1 series deficit in their Eastern Conference playoff clash.

Led by star guard Cade Cunningham, who recorded 32 points and 12 assists, the Pistons controlled the decisive Game 7 with authority. Veteran forward Tobias Harris added 30 points, while strong contributions from the supporting cast ensured Detroit’s biggest win of the series.

The Pistons seized momentum in the second half, pulling away with aggressive defense and efficient shooting. Their composure under pressure highlighted a remarkable turnaround after trailing 3–1 earlier in the series.

Despite a brilliant individual effort from Paolo Banchero, who scored heavily for Orlando, the Magic were unable to recover as their offense faltered during crucial stretches of the game.

The victory marks Detroit’s first playoff series win since 2008 and makes them one of the few teams in NBA history to overturn a 3–1 deficit. They now advance to the next round, where tougher challenges await.

For Orlando, the defeat caps a disappointing collapse after holding a commanding lead in the series, raising serious questions about the team’s future direction.
