SHANGLA: Shangla police have conducted 322 search and strike operations in the district Shangla in past two months and arrested 1,120 suspects and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition.
A statement issued by the district police officer, Shangla, Malak Ihjaz Khan on Sunday said that Shangla police had conducted 322 search and strike operation under national action plan across the district in which 1120 suspects were arrested.
The statement said that 127 pistols, 65 short guns, 06 Kalashnikov, 04 Rifles, 5712 cartridges, 12 Dynamite, 21 Detonators, 88 Feest safety fuse, 3.569Kg explosives and 09KG Hashish were recovered from the suspects.
It said seven proclaimed offenders were also arrested during raids in the district Shangla wanted to police in murder cases.
The statement said that the DPO Shangla Malak Ihjaz has directed to all the police stations across the district to expedite action against the drug peddlers and ensure security to public.
