The minister for labour and culture, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has said that the provincial assembly has unanimously approved the establishment of Shangla university, merging the Swat university’s Shangla campus into full fledge university.
The minister told reporters on Monday that the provincial assembly has unanimously passed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s universities amendment bill 2022 and hence approved the establishment of new university.
He said the bill serial number 31 as said the new university had been added in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa universities namely “Shangla university” therefore Shangla had now its own full fledge university.
Minister said that Swat university’s Shangla campus had been merged into Shangla university and it would have its own autonomous body and in future all department to be started in it which was a biggest milestone in the education sector of Shangla as Shangla students were being faced problems due to absence of university.
The local people particularly educationists and students celebrated this major development in the education sector and thanked the KP government for this mega project for Shangla poor masses.
