Islamabad — Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, held an important conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing peace efforts.
During the discussion, both leaders exchanged views on the current geopolitical developments affecting the Middle East and South Asia. They emphasized the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual cooperation to maintain stability in the region.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace and constructive engagement, highlighting the country’s consistent stance on resolving conflicts through peaceful means. He also stressed the need for collective efforts to address emerging security challenges.
On the other hand, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian appreciated Pakistan’s role in supporting regional harmony and underlined Iran’s willingness to work closely with neighboring countries to de-escalate tensions.
Both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation and maintain close coordination on regional and international matters. They also reiterated their shared commitment to fostering peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
