Trump says Iran will be ‘blown off the face of the earth’ if it targets US vessels

Washington — Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, saying the country would be “blown off the face of the earth” if it attacks United States vessels operating in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The statement came during an interview in which Trump emphasized America’s military strength and readiness, asserting that the United States possesses advanced weapons and global capabilities to respond to any threat.
The warning follows rising tensions in the region, where U.S. forces have launched operations to escort commercial ships stranded due to an Iranian blockade. Reports indicate that clashes have already occurred, with U.S. forces engaging Iranian boats and intercepting missiles and drones, although Tehran has denied some of these claims.
Iran, meanwhile, has responded with its own warnings, stating that any foreign military presence in the waterway could face retaliation. The situation has heightened concerns over global oil supply routes, as the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical shipping lanes.
Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts and a fragile ceasefire, the latest remarks from Trump signal a sharp escalation in rhetoric, raising fears of a broader conflict in the already volatile Middle East region.
